Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Managing and delegating day-to-day administration for a portfolio of trust and company clients.
- Overseeing cash management, exercise of discretionary powers, and maintenance of statutory and internal records.
- Monitoring investment portfolios and preparing management information for senior leadership.
- Attending management meetings and contributing to process and policy improvements.
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory obligations.
- Acting as the primary relationship manager for a range of clients and intermediaries.
- Driving business development opportunities and promoting cross-selling across the group.
- Managing team performance, setting SMART objectives, and completing appraisals.
- Providing guidance, training, and mentoring to support team development.
- Monitoring utilisation, billing, and aged debtors to meet financial targets.
- Ensuring all review comments (revcomps) are addressed and follow-up actions completed.
- Supporting the achievement of satisfactory or better audit outcomes.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold a relevant professional qualification such as STEP, ICSA, or ACCA, and have strong technical knowledge of offshore trust and company administration. They will have proven experience in managing a team, meeting financial targets, and delivering exceptional client service. Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise competing demands. A sound understanding of Guernsey's regulatory environment and a willingness to travel at short notice are also required.
