Our client is seeking a Human Resources Officer to provide generalist HR support across their Guernsey and Jersey offices, working closely with the Head of HR to deliver best-practice people management. This position can be flexible with slightly part-time hours (30 hours per week).

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Organising and maintaining personnel records and tracking changes.
- Delivering inductions and ensuring seamless onboarding.
- Managing professional memberships, CPD records and supporting training programmes.
- Coordinating work experience, temporary staff and early-career programmes.
- Maintaining HR databases and staff documentation.
- Answering employee HR queries.
- Supporting policy reviews and procedural updates.
- Scheduling interviews and HR-related meetings.
- Supporting recruitment, retention and engagement initiatives.
- Ensuring GDPR compliance.
- Working with H&S on staff and building matters.
- Assisting Compliance with CMP testing and regulatory checks.
- Managing GFSC/JFSC registration updates for Financial Advisers.
- Administering benefits, healthcare, pension plans and monthly payroll changes.
- Maintaining MHFA responsibilities and supporting staff wellbeing.
- Supporting cross-jurisdictional HR matters and wider HR projects.
- Maintaining strong working relationships with employees.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be organised, discreet and able to manage multiple priorities with confidence. They should bring excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal awareness and a fair, ethical approach to people matters. Experience in HR or administration is important, and working towards (or holding) a CIPD qualification would be highly beneficial. A high level of confidentiality and emotional intelligence is essential.
