A leading provider of financial services is seeking an experienced AML professional to lead their AML Review function within the Guernsey operations team. This is a pivotal management role with responsibility for driving high-quality Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) processes, ensuring the business continues to meet its regulatory obligations across individual and corporate customers. Key Responsibilities • Manage and oversee the performance of a high-performing AML Review team, ensuring effective AML and CFT controls are in place. • Coordinate risk-based reviews for new business, periodic assessments, and trigger events across both individual and corporate clients. • Support the development and execution of AML monitoring programmes and ensure compliance with due diligence, anti-fraud, and screening standards. • Identify and address gaps in customer data, escalating issues where appropriate and liaising with stakeholders across operational teams. • Deliver and maintain effective AML procedures and support group-level alignment across the wider organisation. • Engage with internal stakeholders and regional teams to support training and continuous improvement efforts in AML review processes. • Contribute to the delivery of internal projects, including the testing of new risk assessment tools or AML system functionalities. What You’ll Need • Minimum five years’ experience in the finance industry, with a relevant business qualification (certificate or diploma) preferred. • Proven expertise in AML, with experience conducting customer quality risk reviews. • Demonstrated success in leading operational teams and driving high performance. • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks related to AML and CFT. • Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and across regions. • Tech-savvy, with sound working knowledge of Microsoft 365. • Self-starter mindset with a strong drive for continuous improvement and results.
