Our client is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to help protect critical systems and data, supporting incident response, vulnerability management and day-to-day monitoring. This position suits someone who enjoys analysing activity, identifying risk patterns and ensuring potential threats are quickly recognised and addressed.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Monitoring for attacks, intrusions and unusual activity.
- Researching emerging threats and recommending mitigation measures.
- Supporting disaster recovery and contingency planning.
- Testing and evaluating security products and configurations.
- Designing or upgrading security systems.
- Using analytics tools to identify threat patterns.
- Simulating breaches to test resilience.
- Investigating alerts and providing structured incident response.
- Monitoring phishing, malware and ransomware threats.
- Supporting identity and access management monitoring.
- Recording findings and producing incident reports.
- Maintaining the information security risk register.
- Supporting internal/external audits and reviews.
- Delivering cyber-security awareness guidance to colleagues.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' technical experience in cyber security, including incident response, SIEM tools, vulnerability assessment and cloud technologies such as MS365/Azure. Strong analytical ability, clear communication skills and the capacity to work effectively under pressure are essential. Relevant certifications such as CySA+, GCIH or CCOA are desirable, alongside a proactive, diligent and ethical approach.
