Taxi driver

We are looking for reliable drivers to join our team at Premier Cars Limited. The suitable candidate/s would be required to present themselves to our clients as smartly dressed, well mannered and with exceptional driving skills. The role requires suitable Island knowledge and the ability to organise and manage your time, as well as being able to communicate with your duty manager. The role is offered with full training and support by management, and continuous assistance through the 6 month probationary period, with continued support throughout your employment. A PSV would be preferable, but not necessary, although a medical, a DBS check and a clean driving licence would be required in order to obtain a PSV permit. The hours can be varied, and the hours can be based around your personal commitments. The pay is on a 50/50 basis and a zero hour contract. This can be discussed and potential for negotiation under the right circumstances. The position would require drivers to undertake a fair amount of pre booked corporate and private work, island tours, airport transfers, app bookings and taxi rank work. In particular, a candidate willing to undertake training to drive & work with wheelchair users would be advantageous and for this, a caring and compassionate personality would be preferable. Similarly, working specific day time hours would also be beneficial to both parties, although hours are flexible and open to negotiation. There is an opportunity for suitable candidates to undertake VIP/Executive work, although this would require the highest level of ability in all areas, along with additional training.
