Operations, Risk Our client seeks a Risk Analyst within the Risk and Operations division, reporting to the Assistant Director. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality prudential, financial crime, and conduct regulation within the Bailiwick of Guernsey. The Risk Analyst will engage in facilitating innovation while discouraging poor-quality ventures, thus helping to protect and enhance the Bailiwick’s international reputation in the financial services sector. Responsibilities include liaising with management and external professionals regarding data requirements and providing essential support in the development and implementation of the risk management framework to assess impacts and risks associated with licensees. The role also entails collaborating with team members to ensure effective communication, producing accurate written reports, and contributing to assurance work by meeting with divisional representatives to gather opinions and feedback. The ideal candidate will assist in training new staff and will be responsible for managing workload prioritisation while developing a proactive attitude. The position involves conducting systematic testing and producing timely management information reports. Job Duties: Ensure high-quality execution of prudential, financial crime, and conduct regulation Facilitate innovation while discouraging poor-quality ventures Liaise with management and external professionals regarding data and analysis Support the development and implementation of the risk management framework Participate in Risk Governance Panels and produce clear, concise written reports Collaborate across the team, assisting in the training of new staff Manage personal workload effectively, prioritising tasks to meet business objectives Proactively seek solutions and identify process improvements Maintain key risk indicators and assist supervisors on the risk management framework Engage in the annual programme of assurance work Job Requirements: Strong communication and written skills Experience in data analysis and trend identification Ability to work collaboratively within a team and provide training support High attention to detail and proactive approach to workload Familiarity with regulatory laws, rules, codes, and guidance Willingness to pursue professional development and accreditation related to the role What You’ll Love:This role provides the opportunity to contribute significantly to maintaining and enhancing the jurisdiction’s reputation.
