Seven day Guernsey weather forecast for 21 April 2026

Tuesday and Wednesday

Weather

Some mid-Channel showers in the morning, might extend slightly southwards to give some bubbly clouds over the Islands too, but this is the only tiny thing that threatens to compromise Tuesday’s sunshine. Wednesday’s skies will be much cloudier throughout the day. Perhaps even squeezing out a spit and spot of light rain, but the chances of that are only small. Funnily enough though Wednesday’s temperatures will be slightly higher than Tuesday’s, peaking at 15°C rather than 14°C. The wind will give both days a chillier feeling though… Tuesday with a fresh force 5 and gusty ENE’ly, Wednesday with a similarly strong E’ly.

Surf and the Water

Some 1-2 foot waves are possible on the reefs, but it’s unlikely that they will really be rideable. Windsurfing and kitesurfing conditions will be good though, mainly on the north coast. Sea swimming will be best at high tide, nice and close to the west coast sea-walls. Tuesday’s high water being about 8.8m at 10am and Wednesday’s being about 8.3m at 10:45am. Low water will be around 4:15pm and 5pm respectively.

Thursday and Friday

Weather

Two totally sunny days and starry nights, with some warmer air and slightly gentler winds (force 4-5 E’ly, gradually reducing force 3-4). Max temps will be about 18°C and 17°C respectively. Overnight min temps will be about 10°C and 8°C respectively.

Surf and the Water

Flat on Thursday, but possibly some 1-2 footers on Friday. Windsurfing and kitesurfing conditions will be ok at times, but not as good as the previous days. Sea swimming will be best at high tide, nice and close to the west coast sea-walls. Thursday’s high water being about 7.5m at 11:40am and Wednesday’s being about 7m at 1pm. Low water will be around dawn and dinnertime.

The Weekend

Weather

Another couple of mostly sunny days, although there is the slight chance of some showers on Saturday night, which could possibly spill into Sunday morning. Winds will be ENE light force 3 on Saturday and moderate force 4 on Sunday. Temperatures peaking at a very comfortable 16°C on Saturday, and a chillier 14°C on Sunday.

Surf and the Water

Again, possibly some weak 1-2 footers on the west coast, but generally no surf to speak of. Winds unlikely to really satisfy any windsurfers or kitesurfers, but the swimming conditions will again be lovely around high tide. Saturday’s high water being about 6.9m at 2:30pm and Sunday’s being about 7.2m at 4pm. Low water will be around breakfast time and after dusk.

The next forecast update will be on Thursday or Friday…
