Guernsey Weather Fox

Seven day Guernsey weather forecast for 30 June 2026

Wednesday and Thursday

Weather

Both days will have force 3 WNW’ly winds in the morning, increasing to moderate force 4 in the afternoon. Likewise, on both days the mornings will differ from the afternoons in terms of cloudy skies turning to sunny skies. On Thursday however, the cloudy morning will be much mistier and perhaps even drizzly, compared to Wednesday morning. Not wet enough to be of any real benefit to the parched Islands though, that’s if it even happens at all. The air will be similarly cool/average to the previous days, so it’s unlikely that the daily maxima will be any higher than 20-21°C, and then the nightly minima will be around 14°C.

Surf and the Water

The onshore wind will make the surf a bit sloppy and choppy. 3-4 feet on Wednesday and then 2-3 feet on Thursday. Swimming conditions will be loveliest on the east and south coasts, especially in the afternoons. Tides will be high around breakfast time (8.1m) and dusk (8.3m). Low tides will be in the mid-afternoons.

Friday and The Weekend

Weather

Bone dry and fabulously sunny with force 3-4 NNW’ly breezes on Friday, reducing to light force 2-3 on Saturday, and then light force 1-2 on Sunday, thus leading to moderate warming, initially around the early July average, then only marginally above on Saturday and more significantly above on Sunday. To put some numbers on this… around 22°C for the Friday max, 23°C for the Saturday max, and then 24°C for the Sunday max. Nightly minima will be around 16°C.

Surf and the Water

The surf will be around 2-3 feet and sloppy, but pretty clean and rideable. Perfect for a proper beachy summer weekend. Swimming conditions will be lovely on all coasts, especially the south. The tides will be high in the mid-mornings and soon after dusk (generally a little over 8m). Low tides will be in the mid to late afternoons.

Next week

Weather

Carrying on with high pressure bringing dryness, sunshine and very light (barely existent) N’ly breezes. This will lead to reasonably high max temps, generally mid-twenties, but possibly high twenties in the second half of the week. Nightly minima should also be waaay more comfortable than during the recent heatwave, much better for a good night’s sleep after a long sunny day… probably 15-16°C.

Surf and the Water

The surf is looking pretty close to flat all week, but there might be some 2 foot pulses if we cross our fingers hard enough. Swimming conditions will be just gorgeous on all coasts, especially the south. Medium-small tides, with highs around lunchtime and lows in the early mornings and in the evenings.

The next forecast update will be on Sunday morning…
