A super sunny but cooler day than the last few, with moderate force 4 NW’ly winds capping the temperature around 23°C in Town, but only 20-22°C in the many more exposed locations. The UV index will be as strong as ever though, so don’t forget to protect that beautiful outer membrane of yours.
Surf and the Water
Well it’s obviously going to be of poor quality, but this onshore wind should provide surfers with some rideable 2-footers by the end of the day. Better really to stick to kitesurfing if you’re on the north or west coasts though, or to stick to swimming if you’re on the south or east coasts. Tides will be low at 10:15am and high at 4:30pm (only 6.9m).

Further deterioration as we wake up to a cloudy morning, with a spell of rain and drizzle. The wind this time touching fresh force 5 at times, and coming from a due W’ly direction. A little sunshine will break through in the afternoon and evening, but it’s all going to feel pretty rotten compared to the recent super-summeryness. At least the fields and gardens will be smiling. They sure do need a bit of a wetting right now. Max temp around 21°C on this day… once again feeling most pleasant in Town.

The west-coast surf will be quite a bit bigger and marginally better, but super-choppy and not the most attractive. Windsurfers and kitesurfers will be happiest of all. Swimmers will find the east coast to be the best place and the afternoon to be the best time. Tides will be low at 11:20am and high at 5:30pm (only 7.3m).
Monday and Tuesday

And just like that, we return to the kind of July weather that we generally tend to want in the school holidays, but aren’t always lucky enough to get. Dry and sunny on both these days, and most importantly without the fresh and chilly wind if the weekend. Monday will have a light force 3 NW’ly and a max temp of 21°C. Tuesday will have a light force 2 SE’ly wind and a max temp of about 25 °C. Night time temps will be worth noting too, because Monday night will fall to a chilly feeling 13°C, as opposed to Tuesday night’s relatively balmy 17°C.
Surf and the Water
Clean surf on these days but only 2-3 feet of weak slop on Monday and 1-2 feet on Tuesday if we’re lucky. All of these waves will be better than nothing, but none of them will be half as dreamy as the swimming/kayaking conditions. Tides will be low at lunchtime, and high around dawn and dinnertime, increasing incrementally from 7.3m to 8.2m.

Staying dry and sunny, with light winds throughout. It looks however as though the Tuesday temperature is more of a spike than a trend though. With a N’ly breeze wafting cooler air over the Islands through the latter part of the week… feeling V comfortable but temperatures peaking at 21-23°C each day, then falling to 13-15°C each night.
Surf and the Water
The weak and sloppy 1-2 foot waves will continue, perhaps not satisfactorily for hungry rippers but perfectly good for young learner surfers and for families with bodyboards etc. Swimming, kayaking and paddle-boarding conditions will be great in all coasts but especially on the south. Tides will be low in the early afternoons. Highs will be at breakfast time and in the evenings.
