Tuesday and Wednesday
Weather
Super-sunny and warm both days. Mx temps 21°C, min temps 13°C. Winds will be force 3 E’ly in the mornings and force 3-4 ENE’ly in the afternoons, so the west coast will always be the most sheltered and warmest, and also some parts of the south coast in the afternoons.
Surf and the Water
2 foot surf on Tuesday, but probably only 1 foot on Wednesday. Any surfable waves will be super-clean in the mornings, slightly choppier in the afternoons. Swimming conditions will be best on the west coast in the mornings and the south coast in the afternoons. Tides will be high at breakfast time and soon after sunset (9.7m dropping incrementally to 9.3m). Low water will be in the mid-afternoons.
Thursday and Friday
Weather
It will be similarly warm as the previous days, perhaps even warmer on Thursday, due to the winds being light and variable in direction. The most noticeable difference will be in Town and along the east coast in general… max temps 22°C on Thursday, then 21°C on Friday. As for the weather, still plenty of sunshine but skies will certainly be cloudier than the previous days, with the smallest chance of a shower in the afternoons (very unlikely to actually happen anywhere other than mainland France).
Surf and the Water
1 foot surf on Thursday, picking up to 2 feet on Friday. Any surfable waves will be super-clean, except perhaps on Friday afternoon. Swimming conditions will be great all around the Island, but best of all on the west and south coasts. Tides will be high in the mid-mornings and late evenings (9.0m dropping incrementally to 8.3m). Low water will be in the late afternoons.
The Weekend
Weather
The temperature will be on a downward trend, as we lock into a fresh force 5 ENE’ly wind. We are probably going to looking at a max of 18°C on Saturday and just 16°C on Sunday. Skies will be relatively cloudy throughout, but some sunny intervals are likely. It’s a long way off, but the current expectation is for some heavy showers to move across the area on Sunday. If this is the case then there is the chance of some thunder and some fairly large rainfall totals (possibly 10-20mm, but possibly nothing as well).
Surf and the Water
Clean and rideable knee-high waves on Saturday, then choppy near-flatness on Sunday. Swimming conditions will be good in most areas on Saturday, but only in the most sheltered south-coast bays on Sunday. Tides will be high around midday, and low around dawn and dinnertime.
The next forecast update will be on Friday morning…
